We Have Been Awarded the Green Heating Feasibility call grant!
We are thrilled to announce that Kionnali has been awarded a grant from Can Do Scotland for our work on sustainable insulation! This significant support will accelerate our mission to combat climate change and foster a net-zero circular economy. We're also excited to highlight our collaboration with the University of Strathclyde Advanced Materials Research Lab for this project.
π Can Do Scotland: Empowering Innovation
Can Do Scotland is renowned for its commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. Their financial support serves as an endorsement for the potential they see in Kionnali's eco-friendly technologies, particularly our Vacuum-Sealed, Structurally Insulated Panel (V-SIP).
π The Need for Sustainable Solutions
The construction industry has long been a significant contributor to environmental degradation. Traditional building materials are resource-intensive and often fall short in sustainability. This underscores the importance of a circular economyβa system where waste is minimized, and materials are reused and recycled.
π οΈ Introducing V-SIP: A Revolution in Insulation
Our advanced V-SIP design is a game-changer in the insulation landscape. Made from entirely renewable, recycled, and biodegradable materials, V-SIP offers 5-9 times the insulation value of conventional materials. Moreover, its role as a structural component significantly reduces material use, aligning with both environmental and economic sustainability.
ποΈ Applications Across Industries
The versatility of V-SIP extends beyond residential and commercial construction. Its unique properties make it an ideal choice for various sectors, including refrigeration and recreational vehicles. Unlike traditional insulation panels, V-SIP is durable, easy to install, and locally manufactured.

β FAQ
What is V-SIP?
V-SIP is a vacuum-sealed, structurally insulated panel developed by Kionnali that aims to tackle construction waste by being completely recyclable and bio-degradable. In other words, nothing plastic or toxic! You can even lick it if you want to, but we wouldn't recommend it. It probably doesn't taste very good. You would have to ask our dog, she keeps trying to eat the stuffing!
β
How is it different from traditional insulation materials?
V-SIP offers 5-9 times the insulation value and is made from eco-friendly materials.
